Graycliff Platinum Edicion Limitada

Quite good.  Wavy burn line, but well constructed.  Some veins were present.  Flavors varied somewhat throughout, but floated between two or three main notes: barnyard, dirt, earth.  This stick was on the lighter side of full-bodied.

  1. These are not true Graycliff's.
These are CI stick banded with the permission of Graycliff. True Grayclif's are made in the Bahamas.
People see these cheap and think they are getting a good deal on a high priced brand when in reality they are just a mediocre stick just borrowing the name like the 1666. Why do you think only CI and cigar.com have them?

  2. I recognize that these aren't coming out of Nassau like the core lines do, however they are affiliated with Graycliff as evidenced on the Graycliff website. That said, many brands have farmed out their name to CI. For that reason, I've avoided the 1666 in lieu of the original blue label (profesionale). In all honesty though, I don't feel that even the core lines are worth what Graycliff charges for them.
In the case of the two Edicion Limitadas (crystal and platinum), a friend brought them up for me, and I was happy to smoke 'em!
Thanks for taking the time to comment.

  3. Thanks for the Review.
I don't see the Edicion Limitado on the Graycliff site. Only the original red and Blue.
Another stick that is a CI special is the double Espresso. The original Espresso is a very good cigar. The little double espresso is another stick that CI is pimping.

I just think that people should be aware that CI does this king of thing quite often and they should not be fooled just because the cigar has a popular name on it.
If you do a little research you can usually figure out what is truly made by the company and what is just a CI knockoff.

That is not to say you can't get some good stick like this. There are a few CI only Padilla lines that are quite good.

    Thanks for the reply.

  4. Yeah, wasn't impressed with the DE stick myself.
Here's the link to the Graycliff site mentioning the Edicion Limitada.
